Where I spend my days

Lead product engineer at Avatone. The job spans pitch decks, branding, bug fixes, designing features, then building them. Every facet of the app I have touched. Our software developer Ramy owns most of the deep backend, and I sit across the rest: frontend, backend, branding, marketing. The line between roles blurs daily, which keeps it interesting.

The app

A gamified fitness platform built around personal growth, social connection, and delightfully silly little avatars. Earn rewards, play games, gather with friends. Fitness wrapped in something that actually feels fun. We’re in early access with over 35,000 users and growing, and the avatars are the bit people fall for first.

Three years in

My affiliation with Avatone stretches back three years, with one of those full-time. What started as a loose connection became something I’ve poured real effort into. Still learning from it.
